Rush Creek Lodge, the first new resort in the Yosemite region in more than 25 years, is now open.

The new, 143-room resort is less than a mile from the park’s west entrance and a three-hour drive from the San Francisco Bay Area. The resort’s Lodge Rooms, Suites and Hillside Villas all have decks overlooking the wilderness, the majority with sunset views. All rooms also have a sitting area, private bathroom, custom artwork and furnishings, refrigerator and complimentary Wi-Fi.

Set on 20 acres, resort guests can enjoy an array of activities in the park with the help of the property’s full-service onsite recreation department. Over 30 guided excursions for all experience and fitness levels are available, with trips varying seasonally to take advantage of Yosemite’s changing landscape. Additionally, there is a complimentary recreation concierge advice desk and daily on-site activities.

The resort’s Main Lodge has a lounge with fireplace and a game room. Elsewhere on the property are many outdoor seating areas and fireplaces, as well as a large salt water pool and two hot tubs, one for families and the other exclusively for adults.

Dining venues on the property emphasize seasonal menu items with sustainable ingredients. There is a restaurant with a wood-fired oven and display kitchen, a tavern with a terrace and a pool bar. The General Store sells trail-ready times, snacks and happy hour supplies.

The resort is a sister property to the nearby historic Evergreen Lodge. Rush Creek Lodge is a Certified B Corporation, meeting social sustainability and environmental performance standards.
