The San Francisco Convention & Visitors Bureau (SFCVB) has named Matt Stiker as executive vice president and chief marketing officer. Stiker will be responsible for developing and executing marketing strategies and programs for San Francisco. The decision to add a Chief Marketing Officer position is part of the SFCVB’s internal reorganization. Stiker will report to the SFCVB’s president and CEO Joe D'Alessandro.

In addition to consumer marketing responsibilities, he will work closely with Leonard Hoops, executive vice president & chief customer officer, to create and maintain a strong marketing presence for San Francisco's convention and travel industry products, and Dan Goldes, executive vice president & chief stakeholder officer, to develop mutually beneficial marketing partnerships. Stiker will also work with Laurie Armstrong, vice president of public affairs, to develop and integrate public relations strategies that correlate with the SFCVB’s key themes. Stiker has 23 years of experience in advertising and consumer marketing and has led marketing programs for such global consumer brands as Coca-Cola, adidas, ESPN and Xbox. Most recently, Stiker was with Hewlett-Packard, where he led joint marketing partnerships and activation efforts with DreamWorks, the NBA, and Starbucks.
