Karisma Expands Generations Brand in Riviera Maya

Karisma Hotels & Resorts is expanding its Generations brand to Riviera Maya as of February. Earlier this month, Travel Agent sat down with Mandy Chomat, the company's vice president of sales and marketing, who brought us the details on Karisma's expansion throughout Mexico and the Caribbean.

"The primary markets are the markets that everyone is in by now so that would mean expanding in Jamaica as soon as possible, the Dominican Republic is a hot market and other parts of Mexico would be important for our growth," he says.

The newly launched Generations Resort by Karisma will bring Generations Riviera Maya, an all-suite oceanfront resort, with rooms starting at 1,200 square feet. Guests will have unlimited butler service and wimp infinity suites up from the first to fourth floors. As part of the Gourmet Inclusive concept, Generations Riviera Maya will include a la carte meals, premium alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages and 24-hour room service.

There will be 144 ocean suites, each with living areas. There will be 17 suite categories. Swim-up Suites are offered on the first through fourth floors; those on the first floor will have a water-mirror balcony from which guests can step directly into a lazy river that connects to the main pool with swim-up bar. Other amenities will be Jacuzzi for two, 42-inch LCD TV, WiFi and more.

For kids, Generations Riviera Maya will have an Eko Kids Club, for children ages four to 12.
