Summer travelers are wary of rising rent and gas prices, however, according to a review from Enterprise, the company has decreased their basic rates an average of 6.5 percent over the last five years.
Basic rates for time and mileage currently average $32.84. Enterprise has also ranked highest in an annual customer satisfaction survey among North American airport rentals polling business and leisure travelers across six major categories, including costs and fees, eight times in nine years.
Travelers are likewise concerned with gas prices, and though Enterprise will charge more or less according to standard rates, current refueling costs range from $4.99 to $5.90 per gallon when costumers return a car with a full tank, which equates to $4+ in savings compared to other leading rental companies. Enterprise reports reviewing gas prices three times a week, adjusting for changes of 3 cents or more.
Enterprise renters at the airport have the option to return their vehicles with a full tank, pre-pay for a full tank at a discounted rate or ask the tank to be refilled after returning the car.
