Cruise Lines International Association 2017 Membership Program

Cruise Lines International Association (CLIA) has begun enrollment for its 2017 Individual Agent Membership (IAM) program, which provides travel agents with benefits, tools and resources, which are essential in navigating the cruise industry, attracting clients and increasing their earnings.

New benefits have been added for the 2017 program based on member feedback, they include:

  • EMBARC ID: Starting this year EMBARC ID’s will be mailed directly to travel agents upon member approval and those renewing will not need to submit a new photo.
  • Professional Development: Members will be offered two free online courses as well as access to CLIA’s Career Seascape, which offers a variety of training opportunities, a new entry level certified cruise counselor and updated ACC, MCC and ECC certification programs.
  • Cruise Finder: an online resource, which allows agents to gain access to ship information, itineraries, onboard amenities and programs across CLIA’s Cruise Line Members.
  • Exclusive Members-Only Discounts: Members will receive discounted pricing on CLIA and Executive partner and Cruise Line products, which include CLIA certification course, event registrations and more.

Membership enrollment for the 2017 IAM program was launched at the CLIA’s Inaugural Travel Agent Destination Summit, which took place over the weekend in Puerto Rico. The Summit showcased CLIA’s professional development program and provided attendees the opportunity to explore Puerto Rico as a destination in partnership with the Florida-Caribbean Cruise Association.
