The Travel Institute Announces New Geography Bee

travel agentThe Travel Institute, in conjunction with the release of its new Destination Specialist North America course, reports the launch of a Geography Bee. For the next ten weeks, travel professionals will be asked to identify an attraction that is featured in the new course. Each week a winner's name will be randomly chosen from the correct entries.

Each week’s winner will then be entered in a final drawing to be held October 14. The grand prize winner will receive a $100 gift certificate from Amazon plus a copy of the new course. Hundreds of entries were received the first day of the contest, the Travel Institute reports.

Each event and sightseeing attraction in the new North America course was updated to reflect the very latest information and several new attractions have been added, the Institute says. Each state and territory includes a map as well as information about the primary points of interest, arrival and transportation information, day trips, events and websites for more information.

“In addition to the new material, the sales notes offer valuable tips to help travel professionals sell each destination and create customized itineraries for their customers,” says Patty Noonan, The Travel Institute’s director of sales.
