Vacation.com Announces 2009 WebinarsNovember 25, 2008 By: George Dooley
Industry executives from NCL, Viking, Silversea and Regent will provide members with market analysis and key insights during Vacation.com’s newly announced webinar series, "View from the Top." The monthly webinars allow members to gain an insider’s perspective on trends and issues driving the marketplace, aiding them to make more informed decisions when it comes to the success of their agency.
“These valuable sessions allow our members to interact with key executives within our industry and to be better prepared to consult with their clientele,” said Vacation.com president and CEO Steve Tracas. “These executives provide high level insight which reinforces their commitment to the network that promote their products.”
The 2009 lineup will include: Terri Burke, vice president of business development at Norwegian Cruise Line, Marilyn Conroy, senior vice president of sales and marketing at Silversea, Torstein Hagen, chairman of Viking Cruises, Tim McDonald, president of Classic Vacations, Mark Conroy, president and CEO of Regent Seven Seas Cruises, and Vincent Campana, vice president of travel and entertainment industries at American Express.
Both Oceania Cruises and The Hertz Corporation will also participate.
"What sets 'View from the Top' apart from our normal supplier webinars— which tend to be sales and product focused— is that our members receive direct feedback from top executives regarding the bigger picture, helping the agent plan for long-term success,” said Geoff Stewart, Vacation.com’s manager of training and member development.
Hundreds of Vacation.com members tuned into to each webinar in 2008, while hundreds more listened to recorded versions of the live productions at Vacation.com’s Agent Advancement Center. The center houses recordings of all webinars for access at any time by member agents.
