Foxwoods Involved in Reopening of Former Royal Oasis Resort in The Bahamas

It was announced last week that the new owner of the Royal Oasis Resort, Harcourt Developments Limited, has partnered with North America’s largest casino operator, Foxwoods, to manage the redeveloped resort, according to a written release.

The Royal Oasis, on Grand Bahama Island, closed in September of 2004 after being severely damaged by both hurricanes Frances and Jeanne. The prospect of the property being redeveloped has created a great deal of excitement on the island, which is 70 miles from Florida’s east coast. Once the property is expanded and renovated, the resort will be home to more than 650 hotel rooms and suites, a casino, convention/meeting facilities, a spa, a fitness center, restaurants, retail shops, recreation facilities and a host of other amenities. The two onsite golf courses will also be restored. Visit www.foxwoods.com.
