Harbor Village Beach Club Partners With Fabien Cousteau

DivingIn observation of World Oceans Day, Harbour Village Beach Club, located on the Dutch-Caribbean island of Bonaire, has announced a partnership with filmmaker, explorer and ocean preservationist Fabien Cousteau, the grandson of Jacques Cousteau. The partnership was created in an effort to raise awareness for ocean conservation among Caribbean travelers.

As the resort’s environmental ambassador, Cousteau will collaborate with the resort on a range of issues including ocean preservation and climate change topics through a series of Global Ocean Summits held at Bonaire at Harbour Village. The resort will also host new “Fabien Cousteau Voyages,” providing small groups with high-end travel opportunities on an NOAA research vessel and submarine.

Additionally, Cousteau will expand his non-profit Ocean Learning Center, based in New York City, to the Southern Caribbean with headquarters at Harbour Village. The addition will add to the resort’s eco-friendly amenities by offering educational programming. Cousteau will personally join Harbour Village guests during diving adventures, as well as other experiences curated by the resort.
