The intimate 12-suite Queen’s Gardens Resort located on island of Saba in the Dutch Caribbean recently announced the opening of the new Frangipani Spa.
The first and only spa on Saba will feature its own line of body products called Frangipani, produced locally on St. Maarten by SXM Nectar exclusively for the spa, using organic and indigenous ingredients.
The hotel added the new two-story structure featuring two open air treatment rooms, equipped with a Finnish sauna, a Turkish steam bath, herbal facial aroma pots, a waterfall shower, and a sunning deck with Jacuzzi, all perched 1,200 feet above sea level overlooking the sea and Saba’s mountain setting.
The Frangipani Spa offers an array of treatments from full body massages, body wraps, and scrubs to manicures, and pedicures. Specialty treatments include the Algae Body Wrap that uses warmed algae to detoxify the body, rebuild collagen and elasticity of the skin helping fight the appearance of cellulite, and the signature Frangipani Body Scrub, a rejuvenating scrub with a mixture of oil and Caribbean brown sugar, promoting circulation and skin cell renewal. After a relaxing treatment, guests can indulge in the special spa lunch menu featuring healthy options like fresh pressed juices, smoothies, and super food salads.
After a pampering day at the spa guests can soak in their private in-suite Jacuzzi or sip a signature cocktail by the pool taking in the views. The views get only better perched from the "Birds Nest," a deck situated in a 100-year-old mango tree where guests can arrange a private dinner with the Queen’s Gardens Restaurant. Serving local and international flavors, the restaurant invests in its own organoponic garden, ensuring the freshest local produce and ingredients are used.
