Jamaica's Half Moon Joins RockResorts Collection

Half Moon, Rose Hall, JamaicaRockResorts International, LLC has expanded into the Caribbean. Half Moon in Rose Hall, Jamaica, will be renamed Half Moon, A RockResort, January 1, 2011, when the Vail Resorts, Inc., subsidiary takes over all resort operations. On two miles of white sand, on 400 acres of land, Half Moon has 398 rooms, suites, villas and cottages. During their stay guests can enjoy the luxury resort's Fern Tree Spa, a Robert Trent Jones Sr.-designed 18-hole golf course, 13 tennis courts, a teen centre and an equestrian centre. The resort also boasts 54 swimming pools, six restaurants, seven bars, a Children's Village and a dolphin lagoon.

The collection was founded in 1956 in the Caribbean by Laurance Rockefeller before being acquired and re-launched by Vail Resorts in 2011. Other RockResorts include The Arrabelle at Vail Square in Colorado, Florida's Tempo Miami, The Landing St. Lucia in the West Indes, Rum Cay in the Bahamas and Third Turtle Club & Spa in the Turks and Caicos, among others.
