It was about a year ago that Jeff Clarke, then Travel Impressions CEO and president, said Sandals Resorts International Chairman Gordon “Butch” Stewart left the tour operator “no choice” before an unceremonious split between the two companies.
Now, Clarke is joining the Sandals Resorts International team as chief operating officer of Unique Vacations, Inc. (UVI), the worldwide representative for Sandals Resorts, Beaches Resorts and Grand Pineapple Beach Resorts.
Clarke will work to streamline internal functions and create efficiencies across UVI. He began September 6.
Prior to Travel Impressions, Clarke worked for Royal Caribbean Cruises, Ltd. for more than 15 years.
“Clarke’s extensive experience in the travel industry, both as a supplier and distributor, make him uniquely qualified for this new role,” said Tammy Gonzalez, CEO of UVI, in a written statement. “We are confident his expertise will play an essential part in meeting the challenges of our dynamic industry.”
