Reggae Performers Added to St. Kitts Music Festival Lineup

st kittsSt. Kitts announces that Tarrus Riley, Capleton and Freddie McGregor will now join Beenie Man and Chronixx as performers comprising the reggae component of the 18th Annual St. Kitts Music Festival, which will be held from Thursday, June 26 to Saturday, June 28.
 
Chairman of the Executive Committee of the St. Kitts Music Festival, Faron Lawrence, said this eclectic mix of reggae acts will capture the interests of attendees both young and old.

“Hosting such a diverse set of internationally acclaimed reggae superstars at the same Festival embodies what this event is all about – the mix of musical genres, age ranges, and the unifying power of music that our Festival has grown to represent," said Lawrence in a written statement.

Also performing at the 2014 St. Kitts Music Festival are The Voice winner Tessanne Chin, Grammy award-winning artists Deniece Williams and Bill Champlin, and well-known performers Bobby Kimball and Paul Peress.  Additional acts as well as the nightly performance roster will be announced in the coming weeks.
 
Now in its 18th year, the St. Kitts Music Festival attracts both locals and visitors alike. It features a wide range of musical styles on the popular market, including R&B, Jazz, Hip-Hop, Reggae, Soca, Calypso, Gospel and Contemporary music. Past artists have included such prominent acts as John Legend, Lionel Richie, T-Pain, Michael Bolton, K.C. and the Sunshine Band, UB40’s Ali Campbell, Wyclef Jean, Ne-Yo, Air Supply, Kenny “Babyface” Edmonds, Shaggy, Toni Braxton, The Commodores, Dionne Warwick, Billy Ocean, Sean Paul, Boyz II Men, King Konris, Stephen Marley, Regina Belle, Maxi Priest, Beres Hammond, Roberta Flack, Biggie Irie, Bunny Wailer and Lord Nelson.
