Survey Points to Weak Pricing in Caribbean Cruising

In its latest survey of cruise industry bookings and pricing, investment firm A.G. Edwards revealed that Caribbean bookings and pricing for both short and long cruises is continuing to weaken for the remainder of the year, while Alaska and Europe pricing is doing well. The pricing survey tracks Carnival Cruise Lines, Royal Caribbean International and Celebrity Cruises. Analyst Tim Conder of A. G. Edwards cited weakness in pricing across all brands and specifically in the western Caribbean, where cruise lines are reporting softness in bookings for much of this year.
