Cayman Airways Launches New Direct Flights to Grand Cayman

Cayman Airways has announced new nonstop service from Washington, D.C. to the Cayman Islands and the re-introduction of direct flights from Chicago. The U.S. cities join Miami, Tampa and New York (JFK) as gateways with nonstop service to the Grand Cayman. The carrier is celebrating the new service with fares starting as low as $99 each way on sale only until November 7.

Beginning December 13, Cayman Airways will operate twice weekly service to Grand Cayman from Washington, D.C. on Wednesdays and Saturdays, returning on Tuesdays and Saturdays. Flights depart the U.S. capital on Saturdays at 12:10 p.m. and arrive at 3:20 p.m. Wednesday departures take off at 8 a.m. and land at 11:10 a.m. Return flights from Grand Cayman take off at 8 a.m. on Saturdays and land at 11:10 a.m. The Tuesday flight from Grand Cayman to Washington, D.C. departs at 5 p.m. and lands at 8:10 p.m.

Cayman Airways' service from Chicago runs Wednesdays and Sundays beginning December 17. Flights leave the Windy City Wednesday and Saturday at 12:01 p.m. and land at 5:05 p.m. Return flights from Grand Cayman depart at 8 a.m. and land at 10:55 a.m. every Wednesday and Sunday.

Select hotels in Grand Cayman are also offering resort credits with savings for visitors who travel from Washington, D.C. and Chicago. Guests who fly nonstop from Chicago can receive up to $400 on a four-night stay at participating properties, while guests who fly nonstop from Washington's Dulles Airport can receive up to $300 for a three-night stay at participating properties. Guests traveling from either gateway who stay at the The Ritz-Carlton, Grand Cayman will receive a $100 per night credit off the price of their stay with no minimum stay requirement.
