The Ritz-Carlton, Grand Cayman Appoints New General Manager

Marc Langevin returns to Grand Cayman to be the new general manager of The Ritz-Carlton, Grand Cayman. He came from The Ritz-Carlton, St. Thomas where he also served as general manager and served as resort manager at The Ritz-Carlton, Grand Cayman through November 2006.

“Opening the resort was truly a highlight of my career. Now I am excited to help maintain the resort as the vanguard of luxury hospitality innovation and continue the work of my predecessors,” said Langevin in a written release.

Langevin originally came to The Ritz-Carlton, Grand Cayman in May 2004 to lead all operational elements of the hotel’s pre-opening. Following his tenure in Grand Cayman, Langevin joined The Ritz-Carlton, St. Thomas as general manager, where he was responsible for operating the luxury oceanfront resort following an extensive $40 million renovation project.

Langevin was also an active member of the U.S. Virgin Islands Hotel and Tourism Association, where he served as both chairman and head of the Education and Training Committee.

With more than 25 years of hospitality experience, Langevin began his hospitality career with Club Med in the 1980’s working in eight different countries around the world. He then moved to Las Vegas, holding food and beverage management positions with a variety of resorts before working at the Beverly Hills Hotel in Los Angeles.

Prior to joining The Ritz-Carlton, Cleveland in 2001 as executive assistant manager of food and beverage, he gained vast operations experience with Boykin Management Company as regional director of operations, whose properties includes Embassy Suites, Double Tree, and Hilton hotels.
