Calling Aspiring China Specialists

Imperial Tours, a luxury tour operator based in China, is launching a China Expert Training Program to help agents become top-sellers of China.

The three-part program begins this month, each session running an hour. Upon successful completion, agents will be equipped with in-depth destination knowledge as well as ways to enhance a traveler's experience. There are also agent incentives for completing the program, including cash or fam trip discounts.

Training Session 1 begins January 20 at 2 p.m. EST. It is titled "What's New - An Introduction to China and Imperial Tours." It will be an introductory lesson to essential destinations such as Beijing, Xian, Guilin and Shanghai. To register visit

Training Session 2 begins January 27 at 2 p.m. EST. It is called "Exploring Undiscovered China." The focus will be unique destinations like Dunhuang, Chengdu, Lijiang, Hangzhou, Shangri-La, Lhasa, Huangshan, Hong Kong, Suzhou, Sanya and the Yangzi River. To register visit

Training Session 3 begins February 3 at 2 p.m. EST. Called "Customizing and Enhancing Travel Experiences," this final session features a variety of leisure activities that clients can take advantage of through Imperial Tours, as well as ways to add-on to trips and personalized itineraries. As a reward for participating (and after a brief quiz) can receive one of two options. For agents who sell more than $40,000 of Imperial Tours' trips within three years after the program, they will receive $900 cash or 50 percent off a fam trip. Agents who sell more than $100,000 of Imperial Tours' trips within three years of the program will earn $1,800 cash or a completely free fam trip.
