Starwood Hotels & Resorts has announced plans to open a new St. Regis hotel in Shanghai in early 2017.
The St. Regis Shanghai Jingan will be in close proximity to the West Nanjing Road business area in Jingan, a central business district with premium corporate offices and luxury retail stores. Part of a new mixed-use development, the hotel will offer approximately 480 guestrooms, including 41 suites and 47 residences. All guestrooms will be located from the 29th to 59th floors, with views of the Shanghai skyline. There will also be several three-bedroom luxury St. Regis apartments on the top floors of the building.
In terms of dining, the new hotel will have three restaurants an an alfresco bar, as well as wellness facilities that include a spa, indoor swimming pool and a fitness center. There will also be approximately 2,000 square meters of event space.
Guests at The St. Regis Shanghai Jingan will also have the chance to participate in the signature St. Regis Aficionado program, presenting exclusive experiences that offer access to some of the region's top attractions.
St. Regis currently operates six hotels in Greater China, with an additional 10 in the pipeline, including The St. Regis Macao, which is set to open this December.
