It's full steam ahead in China for Starwood Hotels & Resorts, which recently announced that Sheraton Hotels & Resorts will open three more hotels in the nation before the end of January. China is now Starwood's second largest hotel market outside of the U.S.
The first to open will be the Sheraton Wenzhou Hotel, slated to debut on December 28, followed by Sheraton Jiangyin Hotel on December 31 and Sheraton Shanghai Hongkou Hotel on January 15. Another 29 hotels in China are in the pipeline in the coming years.
Sheraton Wenzhou Hotel will offer 303 rooms and will be just 30 minutes from Wenzhou Yongqiang Airport.
Sheraton Jiangyin Hotel, surrounded by rivers and lakes, will be located near Huangshanhu Park with 298 rooms. It will also have over 40,000 square feet of meeting space.
Sheraton Shanghai Hongkou Hotel will be close to People's Square and Nanjing Road, offering 471 guest rooms and views of the river, city and the Bund.
