Manhattan Affinia Hotels Welcome New GMs

New York’s Affinia Hotels, which are owned and operated by the Denihan Hospitality Group, are welcoming new general managers from their various sister properties located throughout New York.

The Affinia Dumont, located in the Murray Hill neighborhood of Manhattan is welcoming former Affinia Gardens general manager Alex Spektor as its new general manager. A 16-year veteran with the Denihan Hospitality Group, Spektor is replacing former Affinia Dumont general manager Don Fraser, who recently became the general manager of the Royal Palm, Miami Beach, another Denihan property.

Replacing Spektor at Affinia Gardens, which is located in Manhattan’s Upper East Side, is new general manager Glenda Maldonado, who most recently served as assistant general manager of the Affinia Dumont. Maldonado began working for Denihan 22 years ago.

George Drepaul, who has been with Denihan since 1986, was promoted to general manager of Affinia Shelburne, which is also in Murray Hill, following a five-year tenure as general manager of Denihan’s independent Murray Hill property, Eastgate Tower.

Philip Garcia, who previously served as the director of housekeeping at Affinia Manhattan, is replacing Drepaul as the general manager of Eastgate Tower. Garcia joined Denihan in 1988 and has held assignments at both the Affinia Shelburne and the Affinia Dumont.
