Transformation Completed at Westin Washington, D.C. City Center

Westin Washington, D.C. City CenterWestin Washington, D.C. City Center announced the completion of its $17 million dollar renovation of the 406-room property. Located in downtown Washington, D.C., the hotel has made upgrades to its guest rooms, restaurant, lobby and meeting facilities.

Each guestroom and suite has newly remodeled bathrooms, 50-inch LED TVs, refrigerators and safes. Fringetree offers options for health-conscious guests with a menu that includes traditional dishes, as well as, new creations. The hotel’s transformation of the meeting space includes 17,500 square-feet of meeting and banquet space. The hotel now offers Tangent at Westin, a workspace concept that aims to meet the needs of mobile business travelers and small workgroups. The redesigned lobby and public spaces incorporate natural elements, vertical gardens and flexible seating. The Westin Check-in pods are freestanding structures to replace the hotel check-in desk and are ergonomically designed with work surfaces for an additional guest interaction area. Additional new facilities include a 24-hour Westin Workout that provides guests a fitness studio with Life Fitness equipment combined with high-performance workouts. The property also offers Gear Lending with New Balance that, for an additional charge, delivers New Balance equipment to be delivered to guestrooms.
