Union Station Hotel Nashville Completes $15.5 Million Restoration Project

Sage Hospitality has announced the completion of the $15.5 million redevelopment of Union Station Hotel Nashville, which the company said has elevated the hotel's modern sophistication without losing its historic architecture.

Acquired by Pebblebrook Trust in late 2014, the revamped Union Station is meant to be a celebration of Music City

The renovation, which was completed by Dawson Design Associates, with Nashville-based Gobbell Hays Partners serving as project architect, leaves the building’s architecture at the forefront while updating some of the details. In particular, modern seating, original commissioned art inspired by Nashville’s legendary music scene, large steel sculptures made from re-purposed and recycled materials, and three 10-foot-tall custom chandeliers add a sense of grandeur to the lobby.

Each of the hotel’s guestrooms and suites have been refurbished with walnut walls, cowhide headboards, custom iron and wire chandeliers, leather accents, and contemporary amenities.

Union Station’s numerous event and meeting rooms kept the original tile, while Kentucky limestone was introduced to modern furnishings. Large windows provide a backdrop of downtown Nashville.

Carter’s, the hotel’s new restaurant and bar, boasts a large, marble bar as well as private booths with their own custom murals and artwork.
