NEGRIL, JamaicaTravel Agent was on hand last week for the annual Superstar Awards where we learned SuperClubs Resorts could be expanding further in Latin America with Cartagena, Colombia as the next destination on the company’s radar.

At the opening reception Thursday, we sat down with Paul Pennicook, president of International Lifestyle Inc, which is the world wide representatives of SuperClubs Resorts. Pennicook says Cartagena could be the third Latin American destination SuperClubs will move into but those plans are still in preliminary stages. SuperClubs is opening its second resort in Brazil in the near future and recently opened its new Breezes resort in Panama, where Travel Agent will be visiting in two weeks.

If the company does in fact go forward with efforts in Colombia, Travel Agent  doesn't expect the company’s Latin America surge to stop there. In fact, SuperClubs Chairman John J. Issa told media on Saturday that SuperClubs is looking into two countries where it doesn’t currently operate. We are assuming Colombia is one, but the other is unknown. As we get more details, so will you.
