ARC President, CEO to Retire

Airlines Reporting Corporation (ARC) President and CEO David R.B. Collins announced his intention to retire from his position in June 2011. “After some 43 years of working with the airline and travel agency industries, I am ready for something new,” said Collins. “It is with great pride that I begin the process of transitioning a financially solid, industry-leading ARC on to the next phase of its ever-changing business.”

ARC Chairman of the Board David Landuyt said the Board regretfully accepted Collins’ announcement and expressed appreciation for his many contributions to ARC and the industry. “Having helped lead the industry transition from paper to electronic and now again reinventing ARC’s settlement and data businesses and its role in enabling commerce in the industry, David’s excellent leadership at the helm of ARC has been both steady and visionary. He will be greatly missed,” said Landuyt.

Landuyt also stated that ARC’s Board of Directors has begun the search for a successor and expect a very smooth transition.

Collins joined ARC in 1988, following a 20-year career with the International Air Transport Association (IATA), during which he specialized in airline/travel agency relations and helped found two IATA subsidiary companies in this field.
