Several years ago, Hertz launched their 'Journey to Home' program and it has been building momentum. The program transitions customer service agents toward a work-from-home model.
Employee satisfaction is consistently higher with productivity at or over premise base levels. The attrition rate is 40 percent better than previous years.
With employees working remotely, the environment is benefiting as well. 455 gallons of fuel are saved daily, while over 1.8 million pounds of carbon emissions were saved in 2011.
