Young Travel Professionals Launches London Chapter

For all those naysayers who believe that the travel agent is a dying breed, we say, "Have you heard of YTP?" For those who haven't heard, YTP stands for Young Travel Professionals, and they are a group that is taking the travel and hospitality industry by storm in the US, and now in London.

Formed from fellow members of the business, YTP is the first networking group specifically created to bring together the next generation of travel industry leaders. YTP hosts monthly networking events as well as an online community to foster communication, collaboration and increased networking among travel professionals. The group starting in New York in 2011 with 51 members and has now grown to have 2,000 members.

The latest news from the group is the launch of its London chapter. The inaugural event will be held September 20, and the chapter will be led by David Reading of Talking Stick Marketing; Helen McCullouch, Exsus Travel; Emma Lenanton, Infinity Holidays; and Nick Wilson, Hayes & Jarvis.

Like sister chapters in New York and San Francisco, YTP London will host monthly networking events and their members will have access to the organizations community.
