17th Annual FCCA Conference & Trade Show Ready for Cruise EnthusiastsSeptember 2, 2010 By: Melanie Gretchen
Those looking to get into the cruise industry may want to look into the Florida-Caribbean Cruise Association (FCC) October 25 to 29, in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. Announced in July, the trade association, comprised of 15 member lines, has released more information on its 17th annual event, where travel reps will have the chance to exhibit their business, foster their network and get up to date on the industry.
In attendance for providing information on destinations, companies and products will include more than 1,000 industry partners from destinations' ministries of tourism, cruise executives, tour operators, ports and ship agents, among others. Represented areas will include Europe, Africa, the Caribbean and Latin America. Conference events will touch base on trends including shore excursions, products, services and port of call, available to Platinum and Associate Members.
The FCCA was created in 1972 by the Member Lines, operating more than 100 vessels in Florida, Caribbean and Latin America, to discuss legislation, tourism developments, ports, safety, security and other cruise industry issues. Member lines of the trade association include AIDA Cruises, Azamara Club Cruises, Carnival Cruise Lines, Celebrity Cruises, Costa Cruise Lines, Cunard Line and Disney Cruise Line. Also in the FCC are Holland America Line, MSC Cruises (USA) Inc., Norwegian Cruise Line, Ocean Village, P&O Cruises, Princess Cruises, Royal Caribbean International and Seabourn Cruise Line.
