ARC Announces Panelists for Conference

airplaneThe new distribution capability recently approved by the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) and the impact of mobile technology will be key topics at ARC's TravelConnect conference in Washington, D.C., October 30–31 at the JW Marriott Washington, D.C.

ARC announced the industry experts that will moderate and participate in two panel discussions taking place at TravelConnect, ARC’s first customer conference, this fall.

“These panelists will provide hands-on expertise to spark high-impact conversations that will continue beyond the conference,” stated Lauri Reishus, vice president and chief operations officer at ARC.

Distribution 20/20 will address the future of air travel distribution channels. Anne T. Coughlan, the J.L. & Helen Kellogg professor of marketing at Northwestern University, will moderate the panel. She will be joined by a cross-section of agency and carrier panelists, which includes Jerry Behrens, senior vice president at Travel Leaders Group; Brigit Zimmerman, vice president of air, Priceline.com, Inc.; Cory Garner, managing director of distribution and data commercialization at American Airlines, and Tye Radcliffe, director of marketing distribution strategy at United Airlines.

The Effects of Mobile Technology will assess mobile technology’s influence on traveler expectations and how the travel agent and various channels have transformed in response. Arun Gupta, ARC’s senior manager of product management will moderate the panel, and panelists John Hibbard, chief revenue officer at FlightStats, and Glen M. Gruber, senior mobility strategist at Propelics, Inc., will join him. Each panelist will offer insight into product and technology strategies behind the various mobile platforms today, ARC said.
