Ensemble Travel Taps Business Expert as KeynoteAugust 12, 2008 By: George Dooley
Michael Treacy, a best-selling author and management expert, will offer his blueprint for agents' success during his keynote address at the 2008 Ensemble Travel Group International Conference on October 16 at Red Rock Resort & Spa, Las Vegas. Author of the Discipline of Market Leaders and Double-Digit Growth, Treacy will offer five key strategies for companies to achieve double-digit growth.
Based on eight years of research, he will argue that double-digit growth can be achieved year after year by any company that follows not a single strategy but a portfolio of growth initiatives. Treacy will share his insights and take questions from the audience during his one-hour presentation sponsored by Classic Vacations and Holland America Line.
Treacy has been helping companies achieve market leadership for more than 25 years, Ensemble said. He is currently the chief strategist and co-founder of GEN3 Partners, a firm based in Boston and St. Petersburg, Russia, that creates science-based product breakthroughs for a wide range of clients.
Prior to GEN3, Treacy founded and led a strategy-consulting firm that served leading companies in telecommunications, industrial products, financial services, transportation, and retailing. He has served as a board member for several leveraged buyouts and new ventures. Treacy was formerly a professor of management at the Sloan School of Management at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He received an engineering degree from the University of Toronto and his Ph.D. from MIT.
An estimated 900 Ensemble Travel Group delegates and guests are expected to attend this year’s conference, which celebrates the organization’s 40th anniversary.
