Survey Says Vacation.com Conference Was A Success

Vacation.com, North America's leading travel services organization, held its 11th International Conference & Trade Show on June 16-19 at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas, to rave reviews according to a post-Conference attendee survey.

Ninety-five percent of attendees claimed that the conference was well worth their time, effort and investment, while 90 percent have already committed to returning next year. The individual Conference elements that scored the highest included the training sessions, overall entertainment, supplier and destination workshops, speakers and the tradeshow.

“It’s great to receive such positive feedback, confirming that we gave our members exactly what they wanted,” said Lauraday Kelley, Vacation.com’s vice president of conference and corporate communications. “To give credit where credit is due, our members make it such a success. They bring a tremendous amount of energy and enthusiasm year after year that the suppliers appreciate.”

Conference classes and seminars received the highest overall satisfaction rating with 97 percent. Attendee favorites included the presentations given by four Power Speakers—Mark McMullan, Stuart Ellis-Myers, Nolan Burris and Mike Marchev—along with classes on how to better utilize Google’s search engine and tools.

Supplier representatives responded favorably to the conference as well. One such supplier representative, Michael J. Weinstein, vice president of global and strategic accounts for Hertz, said, “Hertz was excited to be a part of the Vacation.com Conference. The level of engagement from the members was energizing, and their commitment to the conference and learning was impressive. Working with Vacation.com and its members has been instrumental to Hertz, and educational summits, such as Vacation.com's annual meeting, is a value-added benefit that is advantageous for all parties involved.”
