Travel Impressions and American Express have announced that the two companies have extended their preferred supplier relationship, and that they will be retiring the American Express Vacations (AEV) brand. Travel Impressions will continue to participate in American Express Travel programs as a preferred supplier.

Travel Impressions will continue to service American Express travel agents via a specialized team in each of its three call centers in the same manner it does today. Booking codes will remain unchanged and travel agents will keep earning Rewards Club points for every booking made with Travel Impressions, the unified “LoyalTI First” program as of January 1, 2016.

American Express Travel has also decided to retire the AEV brand. Effective January 1, 2016, Travel Impressions in the U.S. will no longer use the AEV brand and will be known exclusively as “Travel Impressions”. Beginning January 1, consumers will also no longer be able to browse the AEV inventory online. On an interim basis, Travel Impressions will still operate internationally as American Express Vacations International (AEVI), with plans to phase out use of the AEVI brand by June 2016.
