CruiseOne Earns Spot on Top Franchise List

CruiseOne, one of the largest home-based franchise travel agent networks and part of World Travel Holdings (WTH), reports it has earned a spot on PODER magazine’s 5th annual “Top 25 Franchises for Hispanics” list. Other renowned brands featured on the list include Burger King, Denny’s, SUBWAY, and Liberty Tax Service. At number five, CruiseOne is the only travel industry player to make this year’s list, CruiseOne says. The group has 750 locations.

“We are proud to be in such esteemed company on this list, but even prouder that we continue paving the way in the travel industry when it comes to Hispanic job creation and franchise ownership,” said Dwain Wall, senior vice president and general manager of CruiseOne. “We support and embrace all minorities with innovative training, marketing, support and incentives to help them grow successful travel careers.”

CruiseOne is a long-time member and supporter of MinorityFRAN, which was created by the International Franchise Association (IFA) to increase the number and success of minorities in franchising. The company offers minorities 10 percent off its initial franchise fee, as well as a variety of other incentives including financing referrals and mentoring to help jumpstart their business. To-date, CruiseOne has placed 80 Hispanics into franchise ownership.

PODER magazine’s “Top 25 Franchises for Hispanics” list is based on a detailed survey sent to 3,500-plus franchisors headquartered in the U.S. and Canada.  Twenty-five companies were chosen based upon the survey’s results, which among other things, asked for the number of Hispanic franchisees, as well as the percentage of the franchisor’s management team that were Hispanic.
