Early Registration for Uniglobe's 2014 Conference Closes December 31

betsy geiserHost agency Uniglobe Travel Center (UTC) reports that early registration will close December 31, 2013 for its June 5-6, 2014, conference at Starwood's Sheraton New Orleans. The event is themed “Be Amazing.”

UTC vice president, Betsy Geiser said the program will be rooted in the need for professional travel agents to truly add value and distance themselves from a commoditized “point and click” consumer buying environment.

The two day program begins on the morning of June 5 and will conclude with an awards dinner the following evening. “Our Agents requested a compressed education and training agenda that truly reflected their immediate needs,” Geiser remarked, noting that suppliers will gain meaningful face to face interaction with agents.

“Marketing Plan Development/Refinement” and “Top 10 Tips to Maximize Your Host Agency Affiliation” are the topics among numerous educational seminars.

Industry expert Sophie Bujold will conduct a Social Media  program  while industry veteran Jim Smith will share tips for “Recalibrating Your Entrepreneurial Mind-Set”.

Other recent educational initiatives from Uniglobe include a series of webinars conducted in partnership with the National Career Association of Travel Agents (NACTA) back in August. The topics included profitability, group business and virtual business.
