Luxury Travel Network Hosts Fall Conference

Sharing the latest tools, tips and techniques to help their independent consultants grow their luxury travel businesses was the foundation for the Luxury Travel Network’s (LTN) third annual conference held recently onboard the Celebrity Millennium. A unit of Travel Leaders Leisure Group, LTN reports the five-day conference themed “Oceans of Opportunity” focused on exploring opportunities to help the network’s luxury consultants streamline and grow their businesses.

“As a newer Luxury Travel Network member, it was very important for me to attend the conference this year to meet the staff and travel vendors so I could put a face to the names I have been working with,” said Sherry Wardell, a Luxury Travel Network affiliate who attended the fall conference.  “I also found it valuable to connect with other LTN agents to get a feel for what strategies are working for their businesses.” 

During the 2011 conference program, Luxury Travel Network affiliates received in-depth training on the network’s software tools – TravelConnect and Sabre Cruises. They also learned how to sell group travel through social media, take advantage of the network’s marketing tools and better promote the products of the 20 plus luxury cruise and tour suppliers in attendance.  

LTN reports the luxury travel consultants were encouraged to learn, network and socialize with other luxury travel advisors, industry experts, preferred vendors and the Luxury Travel Network management and support team through a variety of networking events, cocktail receptions and dinner functions. 

“Not only was the training and time with our preferred partners very beneficial for our luxury consultants, but the networking aspect and opportunity to share ideas with one another was invaluable,” said Tom Baumann, president of Travel Leaders Leisure Group. “I’m always delighted to spend time with our luxury agents as they are a great fit within our Travel Leaders Leisure Group family.  They understand how to sell travel and realize it is a worthwhile profession, and not a hobby.”  

The LTN host agency program offers experienced luxury agents an opportunity to sell high-end cruises and tours while enjoying the benefits of belonging to a premium luxury agency. The Luxury Travel Network program is affiliated with Cruise Specialists, and offers agents a Virtuoso connection, high commissions, preferred rates and exclusive amenities for their clients.
