Results! Travel Training Begins

March 26, 2012 By: George Dooley Travel Agent

Results! Travel is offering member owners, managers and agents with a series of “Local Market Meetings”  with the first 2012 meeting scheduled for April 3, 2012, in the greater Los Angeles-area. This will be followed by sessions in the Detroit-area and the Twin Cities.  In addition to Results! Travel training, representatives from Delta Air Lines and Alamo Rent A Car will be at each session to provide information and training on their latest products and promotions.
The dates and locations for this spring’s Local Market Meetings are:
Tuesday, April 3
7:00 - 9:00 p.m.
West Covina, CA (Radisson Suites)

Tuesday, May 8
6:30 - 8:30 p.m.
Bloomington, MN (Radisson at Mall of America)

Thursday, May 10
6:30 - 8:30 p.m.
Novi, MI (Sheraton)
Initially designed as a networking vehicle for Results! Travel members to share “best practices,” the Local Market Meetings have evolved into an opportunity for members to meet with key industry suppliers and to receive specialized training on Results! Travel programs.

This year’s sessions will focus on the money-making opportunities available to Results! Travel members who book through the Stream prepaid hotel program.

Stream was officially launched by Travel Leaders Group in late 2011 and it allows agents to sell competitively priced prepaid hotel rooms for over 70,000 hotels and resorts worldwide to their clients while earning guaranteed 12 percent commissions on every gross booking (before taxes).
“Many of our members have taken tremendous advantage of what Stream can do for their clients and their business.  The ability to make money on the commission, along with the option of an opaque markup and service fee – not to mention providing clients with a great value – all adds up to a huge plus for everyone,” stated Results! Travel Vice President and General Manager John Risner. “At our Local Market Meetings, we’re going to further demonstrate how every travel agency owner, manager and agent can benefit from using Stream.”
“We have been very successful using the Stream prepaid hotel program. It’s quite easy to use and we take full advantage of the ability to mark up the rates,” stated Cindy Ford, manager of Atlas Travel in Decatur, IL. “Our agency’s hotel booking fee of $15 is automatically added, plus we mark up the rate to be competitive with our GDS, but still a bit lower.  We definitely take advantage of the greater earnings power by using Stream for our hotel bookings.”
The Results! Travel Local Market Meetings are open exclusively to existing Results! Travel Members, who can register through the network’s password-protected extranet site.
