At Nexion's CoNexion 2014 conference, which took place from September 17-20 at the Renaissance Orlando in SeaWorld in Florida, the company introduced new offerings for travel agents. Here are the highlights from the event.
New Lead Gen and Mid-Office Systems
Nexion rolled out two major technology enhancements at the conference: the Smart Leads by Nexion lead generation program and the ResReview quality control program.
Smart Leads uses a consumer-facing mobile app to match new, prospective clients with Nexion agents based on the consumer’s travel request. Nexion agents can also communicate with their existing clients through the mobile application with outgoing notifications.
In addition to communicating with their clients through push notifications, Nexion agents will be able to put their brand in the hands of their clients by providing clients with destination content, travel products, supplier promotions and travel quotes.
The app is currently for the iPhone, with plans for an Android version in the fall.
ResReview is a mid-office quality control system that provides credit card verification, scanning for eligible commissions and providing client invoices. The program will support all Amadeus, Apollo, Sabre and Worldspan GDS users, in addition to all Nexion agents using SNAP!, Nexion's air program.
The personalized invoices automatically include Seller of Travel information and itineraries with links specific to a traveler’s baggage information and weather reports. There are also links to the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) and U.S. Department of Transportation.
Additionally, ResReview has Internet calendar sharing capabilities to provide clients with digital attachments and notifications regarding air, car and hotel confirmations. The system also confirms that each client is taking advantage of obtaining eligible frequent flyer miles, as well as hotel and car rental reward programs.

Circle of Excellence Awards
CoNexion also saw a record number of agents recognized as part of the company's Circle of Excellence, MillionAir and Ambassador Awards. The ceremony included Nexion’s first-ever triple award winner, Steve Lincoln of Bridgewater, VA.
72 agents were honored with Nexion’s Circle of Excellence Award (an annual increase of 71 percent), recognizing top producers who achieved set goals for selling cruise and tour vacations using Nexion’s supplier partners. In addition, Nexion said it presented 32 agents with its MillionAir award, recognizing individual achievements of more than $1 million in airline sales during the previous year.

CoNexion 2015 to Sail on Norwegian Getaway
At the close of the conference, Nexion announced plans to host next year's CoNexion onboard Norwegian Cruise Line's Norwegian Getaway. This will be the first time Nexion’s conference will be held at sea.
CoNexion 2015 will take place September 26 through October 3, 2015. The 7-night sailing will depart from Miami, FL, and cruise through the Eastern Caribbean with ports of call in St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands; Tortola, British Virgin Islands; and Nassau, Bahamas.
