Travel Leaders Confirms Roll-out of Hotel Program

travel agentOver 22,000 hotels and resorts are actively participating in the official January 1, 2013, launch of the proprietary Travel Leaders Group Worldwide Hotel Program, the group reports.

Using the code 7TL for Travelport and Amadeus users and TL7 for Sabre, all travel agents in the group will be able to provide competitive and commissionable rates at all participating properties. The program includes amenities such as complimentary breakfast and Wi-Fi at a large cross-section of properties.

Travel Leaders Group CEO Barry Liben commented: “After identifying over $2 billion in hotel bookings currently made throughout our enterprise, we announced the creation of the Travel Leaders Group Worldwide Hotel Program to strategically realign our hotel programs and strategies to better serve our wholly-owned, franchised and member agents, as well as our hotel partners. Through our program, agents will have access to block space, last room availability, negotiated and best available rates throughout the program.”

Liben said that hotel participation not only exceeded initial expectations since first announced in July, but complements the company’s Stream Prepaid Hotel Program.

By January 1, an “eDirectory” of all participating hotels and resorts in the Travel Leaders Group Worldwide Hotel Program will be provided through its various agency extranet sites. By using the eDirectory, agents can easily compare participating properties by viewing hotel descriptions, pictures and maps, and they can email information to their clients.

Agents can also use the eDirectory to find all rate codes and booking instructions, as well as contact information for participating hotels (non-GDS agents will be able to call hotels directly and ask for the Travel Leaders Group Worldwide rates).

“Through the creation of our unified Travel Leaders Group Worldwide Hotel Program, we are on the cusp of delivering a much more robust value proposition to our agencies, their clients and our hotel partners,” Liben added.
