Travel Leaders Meeting to Provide "Formula for Success"

September 22, 2011 By: George Dooley Travel Agent

Respected airline analyst Michael Boyd will provide his insights into the industry’s future during a major general session presentation during Travel LeadersNational Meeting at The Cosmopolitan in Las Vegas, November 3-5.  The conference will also feature workshop tracks specifically built around the range of Travel Leaders’ travel agent expertise and knowledge, whether leisure or business focused. Themed “Formula for Success,” the convention includes a general sessions, trade show, workshops and special events.

“At our Travel Leaders National Meeting last year, we introduced SCORE, launched our Travel Leaders television commercial, unveiled the all-new Mercavia (Travel Leaders’ extranet site), showed our enhancements to our award-winning Envision program for corporate-oriented agents, and held our very first ‘Ask the Experts’ sessions, along with providing Travel Leaders agents with over 15 cutting-edge workshops,” noted Roger E. Block, president of Travel Leaders Franchise Group.

“At this year’s meeting, we’ll launch several exciting, new programs and offer hour after hour of educational opportunities. While some things are meant to stay in Vegas, we want to send our Travel Leaders home with ‘The Formula for Success.’ Part of that formula includes providing them with plenty of time for networking with their Travel Leaders colleagues, their headquarters team and our valued preferred suppliers, including at our trade show. But being in Las Vegas also means that we have tremendous fun in store for them with plenty of surprises, " Block said.

Block reports Michael Boyd was tapped to speak at this year’s convention “because of the integral role that airlines continue to have among Travel Leaders agencies in this so-called ‘post-commission’ era. Just as our ongoing relationships with the airlines remain an essential element in our ‘Formula for Success,’ we look forward to a very candid discussion and unique perspective from this ultimate expert insider on what that future may hold,” Block said.

Travel Leaders also announced that its National Meeting workshops will include tracks specifically designed for its varied audiences. Among the topical workshops being offered:
·         Coaching Your Employees for Success
·         Selling to the Online Customer
·         The Formula for a Successful Destination Wedding Niche
·         The Value of the Business Travel Agent
·         Being Competitive in the Business Travel Marketplace
“Whether you are an owner or manager, a leisure or corporate travel agent, we have workshops specially geared toward you,” Block noted.

Back by popular demand this year is Travel Leaders’ “Three for Free” registration. Travel Leaders agencies that register three or more individuals from the same office will enjoy free registration for all with no limit to how many agents they bring.

Travel Leaders’ early-bird registration of $100 per person for those sending just one or two expires on September 29. Travel Leaders is also offering exclusive rates at The Cosmopolitan of just $119 per night for single and double occupancy. The reservation deadline for the special hotel rate is October 8, 2011.
“Not only will there be lots of great information, but Travel Leaders’ National Meeting will be in my favorite town, Las Vegas, at my favorite new hotel in that city: The Cosmopolitan. You owe it to yourself to experience this great hotel at our amazing rate,” said Barry Liben, Travel Leaders Group CEO.

“I truly believe that the Travel Leaders National Meeting is singularly one of the best meetings of the year, and not just because I am the CEO. There is so much information, many networking opportunities and exciting announcements for the year to come. Why would you even consider missing it?” Liben said.
