Travel Leaders’ New Business Hits $37.2 Million

Despite plenty of negative economic news, Travel Leaders reports that its wholly-owned and Associate (franchised) locations won over $37.2 million in new business accounts during the third quarter of 2011.  The total sales volume of new business accounts through September 30, 2011, now stands at over $139.8 million – which exceeds the reported amount for all of 2010 by more than 8 percent (the reported amount last year was over $129.4 million).

Travel Leaders said that the current quarterly data is a conservative estimate given that it is gathered through voluntary reporting of new business by both Travel Leaders Associates and Travel Leaders Corporate on a quarterly basis. Also, this does not include new business accounts won by any other Travel Leaders Group division or members, Travel Leaders said.

“As we found at the recent Global Business Travel Association (GBTA), Travel Leaders Corporate’s ‘Departure from the Ordinary’ is resonating strongly in the marketplace, and the number of prospective accounts actively seeking us out demonstrates the leadership position we’re taking,” stated Travel Leaders Corporate President David Holyoke

“Between the personalize care we deliver and the huge momentum we have heading into the last quarter, we fully intend to capitalize on our points of departure – both in term of business travel programs and technology – to acquire an even greater share of the market," Holyoke said.

“Despite the negative economic news permeating the mainstream media, our latest numbers show that growth is possible if you have the right tools, technology, resources and, most importantly, expertise,” stated Travel Leaders Franchise Group President Roger E. Block.

“Our Travel Leaders Associates are actively going after more and more business travel accounts and are able to demonstrate, in very tangible ways, how their services will help each individual company’s travelers and bottom line.  Time and time again they are able to save their clients time and money, while also providing the exceptional level of care needed for today’s road warriors," Block said.
