Travel Leaders Unveils Small Business Travel Tools

travel agentTravel Leaders Franchise Group has released details of its new business travel-focused tools to assist members with small and lightly-managed business travel accounts.

Launched as an added component to Travel Leaders’ Business Travel Center of Excellence, the tools will assist any Travel Leaders member agency in acquiring and managing business travel accounts that – while small – can be lucrative and will allow agencies to further diversify their portfolios, Travel Leaders says.

With access to these new resources, members can clearly identify managed travel opportunities, drive return on investment (ROI) for clients, and provide “Duty of Care” solutions to small businesses and corporations where perhaps none existed, the group says.

“There are a multitude of opportunities for our Travel Leaders members to assist small business accounts and certain individual business travelers that have minimal needs for program management or whose annual travel expense budget doesn’t provide an opportunity for negotiated supplier discount programs,” noted Roger E. Block, president of Travel Leaders Franchise Group.

“What these smaller business travel clients stand to gain is expert travel support from our members that makes travel planning easier, provides more cost-effective travel and, perhaps most importantly, offers reassurance that traveler safety and security is being handled responsibly," Block said.

Travel Leaders members have access to these tools via a new Small Business Client section on Mercavia, the franchise organization’s intranet site. Agents can download documents, presentations and marketing pieces for both account acquisition and account management.

This includes: Sales Pipeline Management Tool, Small Accounts Sales Presentation, Drip Marketing templates, Implementation plans for a New Small Business Client, Vendor Programs, and Small Account Review Templates.

“In the world of business travel today, no company is too small to have a managed travel program, which is why we set out to provide these tools to our members,” added Peter Thomson, Vice President for Travel Leaders Business Center of Excellence.

“What business traveler or small business wouldn’t want: personal 24-hour assistance from a travel expert – particularly for changes, special requests and emergencies; access to reporting and quality control; negotiated contracts; and someone dedicated to avoiding costly errors when booking or rebooking travel itineraries? By working with their local Travel Leaders agency, these businesses also have access to our proprietary discounted programs for airlines, hotels and car rental companies. Our Travel Leaders agencies, in turn, have more tools to help them acquire new clients and grow their business," Thomson said.
