Travel Management Alliance Adds Agency

April 29, 2008 By: George Dooley

Corporate Travel Solutions Travel (CTS), based in St. Paul, MN and a major corporate agency with over $77 million in annual sales, has joined the Travel Management Alliance, a group of eight partner agencies. Collectively, TMA members generate $800 million in gross sales.

Larry Austin, founder of Austin Travel and chairman of TMA, welcomed CTS and said they added a new dimension to its ranks. “The fact that they are in a single airline hub city and use Worldspan gives our group another perspective,” he said. “CTS faces both similar as well as different issues than the rest of the partner agencies, which makes CTS very valuable to our organization.”

CTS President Deborah Callahan, an industry veteran with over 27 years in the industry, said she looked forward to the new alliance: “I wanted to join TMA, because it is a small diverse, unique group of travel companies with common goals and objectives.”

“The move will also allow our people in their various key management roles to engage with their peers with like companies in different parts of the country,” Callahan said. “We felt that this would benefit our clients as well as, the opportunity to share ideas and benchmark our business against some of the best managed travel companies in the business,” Callahan said.

TMA members are independently owned large corporate agencies that also serve the leisure market. For information: or
