TWIN Adds Canadian Agency

July 9, 2008 By: George Dooley

Travelpath in Ontario, Canada, has joined TRAVELSAVERS Worldwide Independent Network (TWIN), a global travel management company. The move is part of TWINS' expansion of its Canadian arm of its worldwide organization.

Rick Mazza, president and CEO of TRAVELSAVERS and TWIN, said: “When agencies sign on with TWIN, they quickly gain a competitive edge to solicit and service mid-sized, large, and multi-national clientele because of the resources of our global network, knowledge base, and negotiating power. Collectively, we are providing the highest level of account management and customer service available today.”

TWIN provides the infrastructure and resources for larger independent agencies to offer multi-national corporate clients account management and customer service. TWIN helps agents find new accounts, service multi-national accounts locally and obtain foreign business from other members.

Established in 1978, Travelpath focuses on business travelers, including small- to mid-sized corporations. Christopher Gregg, president of Travelpath, said: “We joined TWIN because of the global corporate services it will allow us to offer our clientele. Travel is a world stage today, and networking is highly important.  If we have an account needing to be served in Europe or the Caribbean, for instance, we will turn to another TWIN member for in-country support.”

In related news, the Network of Entrepreneurs Selling Travel (NEST), a TRAVELSAVERS unit focused on home based agents, said it has extended the early bird registration date for its NEST FEST ’08 annual conference until July 31. The all-inclusive rate is $79 per person ($30 off the full rate). The conference will take place in Xcaret, Mexico, November 13-16, at the Occidental Grand Xcaret.
