Tzell Travel Group Promotes Christina Malik

Tzell Travel Group announced the promotion of Christina Malik to Vice President of Hotel Programs & Development. In addition to continuing to manage Tzell’s hotel program and assisting Tzell’s agents in maximizing its hotel relationships, Malik’s added focus will be on developing and nurturing strong relationships with hotel companies worldwide, as well as representing Tzell within the travel industry. Based in New York, Malik reports to Tzell President and CEO Barry Liben.

“Promoting an intelligent and gifted leader like Christina Malik to lead Tzell’s hotel program was an easy choice because we are confident she will represent Tzell extraordinarily well,” stated Liben. “Christina possesses an intimate knowledge of the luxury hotel sector from front-desk to concierge to revenue management to sales and now the details of agency operations. Together, they serve as an extraordinary foundation for Tzell’s future relationships with our roster of preferred hotels. Christina’s added focus will benefit all of our agents tremendously.”

With her appointment, Malik becomes the youngest Vice President in Tzell history. Malik first joined Tzell as Director of Hotel Programs in December 2008. Prior to joining Tzell, she served in various operational and sales positions in hotels such as The Ritz-Carlton Battery Park and Hotel Plaza Athénée in New York City.

With annual sales exceeding $1 billion in 2010, Tzell Travel Group – as part of Travel Leaders Group – is currently ranked first among the nation's largest corporate travel management companies. Tzell maintains its headquarters in New York City and has offices in 20 states.
