Costa Rica will be hosting one of the most important tourism trade show in the Central American region, the annual Central America Travel Market (CATM), October 9-10. The event will gather tourism buyers and suppliers for two days of business-to-business meetings and networking.
CATM aims to promote tourism in Central American countries and showcase their respective tourism products, as well as increase knowledge of the different regions. More than 100 wholesalers from Europe and Asia and 180 Central American sellers have already confirmed their participation, as well as tourism ministers and officials from the region.
“The Costa Rica Tourism Board (ICT) took on the challenge of organizing the event’s 10th edition, which without a doubt will be an important forum to showcase, promote and position the country as a sustainable tourist destination,” said Wilhelm von Breymann, the minister of tourism for Costa Rica, in a written release.
