Wyndham Hotel Group, LLC announced Thursday the introduction of its TRYP by Wyndham hotel brand to Central America with the opening of its first hotel in the region, the 98-room TRYP San José Sabana, in the heart of San José, Costa Rica.
The addition of TRYP San José Sabana expands the select-service hotel brand’s Latin American portfolio, which currently consists of 14 TRYP by Wyndham hotels open and operating in South America.
The four-star TRYP San José Sabana, located just 20 minutes from Juan Santamaria International Airport and 10 minutes from downtown San José, gives guests direct access to the city’s business sectors and best-known attractions, including La Sabana Park, just one block from the hotel; Escazú, known for some of the area’s best shopping, dining and nightlife; and the city’s museums and theaters.
Guest rooms and suites feature contemporary furnishings with large windows and picturesque city and mountain views; 37-inch, flat-screen televisions and more.
The TRYP by Wyndham brand will continue its expansion in the Americas with the opening of its first location in the United States, the 173-room TRYP New York City Times Square South, later this year. Additional properties are scheduled to open in Panama City, Panama, and Bogotá, Colombia, in early 2012. TRYP by Wyndham represents more than 90 hotels and over 13,400 rooms across Europe and the Americas.
