American Cruise Lines Reveals Fall 2014 Cruise Collection

American Cruise Lines announced its Fall Cruise Collection, a selection of cruises handpicked to showcase the 2014 fall season. Cruise itineraries include the Columbia & Snake Rivers, Puget Sound & San Juan Islands, Chesapeake Bay and the Hudson River.

Columbia & Snake Rivers: In October of 1805, Lewis and Clark and the Corps of Discovery paddled down the Columbia River on the famous expedition into the West. Today, the autumn colors and migratory wildlife that Meriwether Lewis described in his journal are much the same aboard Queen of the West, as it follows their exact route. Featured Dates: Oct. 18 and Oct. 25, 2014

Puget Sound & San Juan Islands: Guests will sail to the Puget Sound and the San Juan Islands, where hundreds of islands are home to a diverse natural ecosystem. Featured Dates: Sept. 27 and Oct. 18, 2014

Chesapeake Bay: Chesapeake Bay is an area rich in maritime history and surrounded by a colorful display of changing foliage. Along the shoreline, guests will pass battlefields, monuments, seaports, historical homes and lighthouses, sailing into ports only accessible to small cruise ships. Guests willvisit villages that have played crucial roles in the Revolutionary War, the War of 1812 and the Civil War. Featured Dates: Nov. 2 and Nov. 8, 2014

Hudson River Fall Foliage: Surrounded by the Catskill Mountains on the western shore and the Taconic and Berkshire Hills to the east, the Hudson is the setting for a cruise which showcases the changing colors and mountains in mid October. Featured Dates: Oct. 18 and Oct. 25, 2014
