Anderson Promoted to Silversea's Fort Lauderdale GM as Bettridge Leaves for Sandals

kristian andersonSilversea Cruises promoted Kristian Anderson to GM of the Fort Lauderdale office and SVP of sales for North America, effective Dec. 16, 2013.  

Anderson, who joined Silversea in June 2012 as VP of sales for North America, is a travel industry veteran with over 25 years of sales and management experience. He was recently a participant in our customer service roundtable.

In his new position, Anderson will continue to develop and accelerate revenue growth throughout the Americas. He will report to Enzo Visone, Silversea's CEO.

Ellen Bettridge, president of the Americas, will leave on December 16 for Unique Vacations, Inc.

In other appointment news, Kevin Regan, director of corporate and incentive sales for Silversea Cruises, recently became the first member of the cruise industry elected to the has been elected to the Hospitality Partner Advisory Council. Regan was elected for a three-year term as a member of the council, effective January 2014.

Silversea's Silver Wind recently completed a refurbishment during a two-week dry dock in Palermo, Italy in November. Enhancements include a complete makeover for the ship's specialty restaurant Le Champagne, the only Relais & Châteaux restaurant at sea.
