Carnival Cruise Lines has launched a new promotion awarding travel agents up to $50 in Reward Dollars per booking on a wide variety of Fun Ship departures. With Carnival's Booking Bonanza, travel agents can earn up to $10 per booking for three-day departures, $20 per booking for four-day voyages, $25 per booking for five-day cruises, $30 per booking for six- to eight-day sailings, and $50 per booking for voyages of 12 days or longer. Reward Dollars earned by travel agents will be placed in an in-house account at Carnival and can be redeemed for select Carnival cruises departing through April 2008. Bookings must be fully deposited before July 17. Because the Booking Bonanza promotion applies to such a wide range of departures, travel agents are provided an easy way to earn Reward Dollars redeemable toward cruises, according to Vicki Freed, Carnival's senior vice president of sales and marketing. Reward Dollars will be awarded by Aug. 8, and must be redeemed by Dec. 13. The dollars are nontransferable and nonrefundable, cannot be used as cash, and may only be used toward the payment for a cruise.
