Celeystal Crystal Undergoing Repairs, Expected to Resume Service July 13

Celestyal Crystal, which suffered damage to her bow following a collision with the STI Pimlico, a product tanker, off Gallipoli, Turkey, on June 27, is now in Perama, Greece, undergoing repairs.

Celestyal Cruises says the damage is superficial. The ship's hull was undamaged.

A scuba diver inspected the hull underwater. After determining the ship was seaworthy, Turkish and maritime officials released the ship which sailed to Greece for the repairs, expected to take five days.

The ship is expected to resume its schedule of cruises on July 13 from Athens (Lavrion).
