CLIA Calls for 2016 Hall of Fame Nominations

Cruise Lines International Association (CLIA) has announced its newly refreshed Hall of Fame Cruise Industry Awards, recognizing individuals and organizations whose efforts and accomplishments represent a significant contribution to the cruise industry, as recognized by CLIA’s broader travel agent and agency membership.

Nominations are now being accepted from CLIA’s membership, and the winners will be announced at a gala event at CLIA’s Cruise360.

The nominations are open to CLIA Agency and Individual Agent Members. Cruise Line members can also nominate individuals for the Lifetime Achievement Award. Awards will be given out in the following categories:

Travel Agency Innovator Award – Awarded to a travel agency that has demonstrated innovation in their approach to promoting the benefits and value of cruise travel.

Rising Star Award – Awarded to an Individual Travel Agent who has significantly impacted the travel agent landscape through contributions to their agency, as well as demonstrated their commitment to professional development, with a maximum of three years cruise industry experience.

Lifetime Achievement Award (Hall of Fame) – Awarded to an individual from any aspect of the cruise industry who is an advocate for cruise travel and has made remarkable positive contributions to the cruise industry.

The Hall of Fame inductees will be honored at a special gala event on June 2, 2016 at CLIA’s Cruise360. Cruise360 will be held June 1 – 6, 2016 at the Vancouver Convention Centre.
